Each week is built around one theme, and the workshops teach the English that theme needs — so the food tour, the guided walk and the conversation over dinner are part of the learning rather than what happens once it stops. - Workshops work on practical, spoken English connected to the theme, not a General English syllabus. - Taste of Malta builds the language of food, markets, wine, dining and hospitality. - The culture and wellbeing weeks build the language of history, travel, local life and talking about your own experience. - Cultural visits, guided walks and social evenings are where you use what you practised that morning. - One week or two, at a comfortable pace, in a group small enough to talk in. ## Choose your Stay & Learn experience Three themed programmes, each with its own activities. Dates and prices for all three are in the table below. ![A Maltese table: a crusty loaf, fresh and peppered ġbejniet cheeselets on a board, olives, capers, vine tomatoes and a bowl of olive oil.](/assets/img/photos/stay-learn/taste-of-malta.webp) ### Taste of Malta Food, wine & conversation Malta through its gastronomy — local producers, wine culture and Mediterranean hospitality. #### Sample activities - Valletta food tour and a traditional cooking workshop - Winery visit and guided wine tasting - Artisan food markets and dinner by the harbour ![A turquoise bay and terraced hillsides seen through the mouth of a limestone cave on the Gozitan coast.](/assets/img/photos/stay-learn/winter-getaway.webp) ### Winter Getaway Culture, calm & connection The gentle side of Malta in winter, for students who enjoy history and wellbeing. #### Sample activities - Café culture and heritage visits - Guided walks in Valletta and Mdina - Wellness and mindfulness sessions ![A quiet Mdina lane of honey-coloured limestone with a studded blue door and bougainvillea in flower above it.](/assets/img/photos/stay-learn/spring-escape.webp) ### Spring Escape Awaken, explore & connect Malta as it comes back to life — nature, coastal views and long sociable evenings. #### Sample activities - Coastal walks and scenic viewpoints - Wellness experiences and art sessions - Wine tasting and a welcome dinner ⓘ · Listed activities are examples. The school is licensed by Malta’s ELT Council and has been an affiliate of the International House World Organisation since 2003, one of the most respected networks in English language teaching worldwide. Every one of our teachers is CELTA-qualified, and our lessons are built around communicative, practical work connected to real situations rather than rote learning. Students are carefully placed by level, encouraged to participate actively from the first day, and supported by regular testing and individual feedback so that progress is measurable rather than assumed. Behind the classroom, a full academic, administration, accommodation and activities team ensures that each student’s experience is as well organised as their studies. ## FAQs **Can I join Stay & Learn 50+ on my own?** Yes.
