### Courses and levels

**How long is an English lesson at IH Malta?**

A standard face-to-face lesson is 45 minutes. Online one-to-one sessions are 60 minutes.

**What is the maximum class size for adult English courses?**

Adult English classes have a maximum of 15 students, with an average of around 12.

**Can I choose my English class timetable?**

You can tell us your preferred class time, but your final timetable will depend on your placement level and class availability.

**Are course books provided for English classes?**

Yes. Course books are provided for use in class, and you can purchase your own copy separately.

### Booking and payments

**How much is the IH Malta administration fee?**

The standard administration fee is €75 per booking. It is normally charged separately from the course price unless a package includes it or the fee has been waived.

**When do I need to pay for my English course?**

A 20% deposit is due within seven days of booking. The remaining balance must be paid at least 14 days before arrival. See [Plan your stay](https://www.ihmalta.com/plan-your-stay.html) for the full booking process.

### Visa support

**Can IH Malta guarantee my student visa?**

No. IH Malta can support you with the school-related steps and documents, but the final decision is made by the relevant authorities.

**How far in advance should I plan my Malta student visa?**

### Accommodation

**Can IH Malta arrange student accommodation in Malta?**

Yes. We can arrange a room at Belview Residence or accommodation with a local host family, subject to availability. Compare both options on the [accommodation page](https://www.ihmalta.com/accommodation.html).

### Airport transfers

**Are airport transfers compulsory for IH Malta accommodation?**

An arrival transfer is compulsory for Belview Residence and host family bookings. A departure transfer is optional unless it is included in your package.

### Certificates and attendance

**What attendance is required to receive a course certificate?**

You need at least 85% attendance to receive a Certificate of Attendance and student report.
